i'll make it to the moon if i have to crawl

i've just remembered that, since this is my blog, i am allowed to talk about whatever i want. even if it is just randomness. i had a nice birthday dinner-crab legs at red lobster and dessert at chilli's. and i got a lovely lord of the rings journal from my mom, embossed imitation leather, handbound with pretty scrawly lines on about half the pages for me to write on. she got it from the lord of the rings movie exhibit in houston, and it comes with a little certificate of authenticity and a bookmark. got some other stuff from my lovely friends, as well. overall, it was a pretty good day, even though i had to work. oh, and i ordered myself a pink floyd cd. (i had to get a cd soon to fulfull a bmg membership agreement.)
i've recently realized i have some responsibilities i don't know how i'm going to fulfill (mainly financial ones) but i have been trying to save even the small amounts, like birthday gifts and tutoring money, and i'm slowly, slowly getting closer, hence my post title. i heard that line in a song... "with the birds i share this lonely view..." can't remember the band right now. (i hear more music every day than anyone should. i can tell you all about torture tuesdays and whack-it-wednesdays and dirty thursdays and everything else that happens on a morning show. and i've never gotten sick of songs so quickly before- i actually listen to the easy listening station a lot because i don't wanna hear that song again)
so, yeah. that's my birthday ramble.
