lost a planet master obi-wan has. how embarrassing.

to walk through the woods and hear only the animals and the breeze in the trees is nice. but to walk through a place that is so obviously for humans, with the look of projects abandoned and civilization halted is another thing altogether. it really is kindof eerie. i walked across campus today, encountering only a fat squirrel sitting at the base of a tree, eating what appeared to be a pine cone. he froze and watched me walk past, but that was the only indication there was anything amiss. nature seems to continue with whatever it does, almost oblivious to humans and what they are or are not doing. there is a building project going on in the center of campus, so there are lots of big machines and the dirt is turned over from big holes. there are fences blocking students and forcing them to take the detours. but all that was silent today as well. it was like planet of the apes, or jurassic park. walking into the computer room, everything was operational, just as it had been left before all the people disappeared. i am using a computer right now, and everything is normal. except for the lack of people.
