can't you hear me cause i'm screaming*
i got my bacon and brie baguette today! finally. and it was wonderful. i got it in a tiny little bakery in bath, and it only cost me £1.90. i had to wait for the bacon to finish, so it was hot, just hot enough that the brie was just starting to melt around the edges, not really melted, just soft. then i spent my last pennies on fudge. overall, it was a wonderful day. i wandered around for hours in this little town and did nothing, but i did make three new life goals (sorry about these dad):
1. to become a duck tape connoisseur
2. to find out if cheap truffles exist
3. to take pictures of tourists
the third is my favorite, as i discovered the joy today of photographing tourists in the classic photo-taking poses. i think it would be wonderful to have a coffee-table book of photos of tourists.
it would have been immensely more fun with someone i wanted to spend time with, as i was only with this american guy i barely know- he was good company, but it's always lovlier to be in a new place with someone you love.
i'm going to try to put up photos of the town of bath. sadly, it cost £9.50 to actually see the roman baths, so i didn't. i think something like that shouldn't be such a tourist trap thing, it should cost less or be on donation or something. but there were a LOT of tourists there too. some random american actually started to ask me for directions somewhere.
