everytime i think i've finished being young*
my dad went out of town today. for those of you who don't know, i am back in the house of my parents, awaiting my departure for the uk. so my dad bought a few things to eat while he was gone. among the items that appeared in the house was a large bag of marshmallow mateys, which, if you don't know, is malt-o-meal's version of lucky charms. now i think lucky charms is the only thing i have ever run across that makes me feel like a kid. so i ate two bowls of them this evening. first, the crunchy part, then the last several bites of each bowl, heaping spoons of marshmallows, with just a couple pieces of crunchy part to make the bite, well, crunchy. for a few minutes, i was a kid. i won't say again, cause, well i don't really remember the first time, but this time, i was a kid. somehow there were a few moments when i forgot the things in life we'd all rather forget. i forgot the monsters in my dreams last night, and the ones in real life. i was just talking on the phone and eating lucky charms.
i have lots of stuff in my head that is dying to come out, and i haven't nearly enough time in a day to write it all. even less do you all have time to read it all, but i hope that i keep feeling like writing for a while, so that my blog doesn't feel completely lame, at least to me.
i did my weekly going-through-my-friends'-blogs today. i don't know how much time i'll get when i'm in the uk. hopefully, you will all want to read my blog, and hopefully, i'll get to post often enough, and hopefully, i'll have time to at least keep up with what you all are up to. but i suspect that i won't get to keep it all up as i do here. somehow (i think the workers outside cut the cable) we don't have any cable at my parents', so i had to come up to lander just to use the internet. i hope that northampton has reasonably readily-available internet.
