masquerade, hide your face so the world will never find you

oh my word! phantom is coming to the big screen!!!!!!! it looks aMAZing! i can NOT wait until dec 22. i just flipped out in the theater. at least i got something good out of the night. the movie was awful. its a good movie, good ending, too personal. it was a painful experience. i have today something to blog, and you are all going to be put through the torture of having to read about a week's worth of stuff today (or whatever day you end up reading this).

i got locked in the coffee shop yesterday. yes, alyssa, you forgot to check the bathroom. one moment everyone is standing around talking, i go to the bathroom. bathroom trip over, i emerge to a silent hallway. "alyssa?!" um, ok it isn't supposed to be quiet. hmm, surely she didn't have enough time to herd them out and lock the doors and leave. well, she did. i checked the back door, figuring she may have already locked that one, but at least i'd see everyone outside and know they'd left me, and i could go to the front door to get out. um, nobody there. locked door. that's unusual, the door locked and no clique in the parking lot....... went to the front door, wondering where alyssa was, i mean of course she was there, there were still lights on and cups still out. i guess she was lazy last night. because everyone actually had defied all laws of clique physics and disappeared from the parking lot in record time. called nathan. "we're at carlton apartments" what about alyssa? "she just drove past" luckily andrew is a bad employee and forgot to give the key back. he tried to pull some conditional rescue, too. "i'll let you out if you promise to be in a good mood the rest of the night"

underarm-less

tota is an evil influence. there is a lovely little area outside the atrium for smokers. but there is no little stairway or hallway to get to and from. if there were ever to be a fire, anyone there would be stuck. the ultimate case of smoking killing someone. the problem is, some ppl who don't smoke like to hang out there also. its a really cool spot. so we wanted to go there. but we didn't want to walk all the way around the building. "oh, we always just climb down the tree." "but i'll fall on my butt." "naw, we do it all the time." guess who fell on her butt? in a big, grand, elaborate way. i was wearing nathan's under-armor. it is now my shirt. in a matter of fractions of a second, i went from wearing a high-quality, symmetrical shirt to same shirt minus one sleeve and half-flashing the world. not to mention the little branch-stump thing that impaled my leg. this seemed to be the lesser evil at the time, seeing as how there was a gaping rip across my shirt and a six-inch gash up my underarm. a short trip to the nurses office revealed that absolutely nobody gets hurt after 1:30 pm on friday, and therefore there is no need for the nurses house place to be open. back to the atrium, and tota stops in the admission office to see if they have a first aid kit. "we don't, we'll just call the lander police." enter lander cop. he opens the nurse place to give me antiseptic stuff and ask me my name and bday and social and address and phone and checking acct number... okay, maybe not that, but i wanted to ask him why he needed all that, but i didn't want him to ask more questions and think i was trying to hide something, even though i was. like i was gonna tell him i was climbing down the tree. ok, well now i have a cool shirt with a ripped off sleeve and safety pins all down the side. that tips the scale- i definitely need to be a rock star.
found out the major injury was actually the bruise from the branch stump thing impalement. i have a bruise about the size of a football that is plum-colored. it started out with random colors, the colors spreading in a gay-pride rainbow and then to a brilliant plum color, with black marbling. i wonder if it should worry me that it doesn't hurt at all, even when i touch it.
